1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using the Boost mobile application, web application, or customer portal (collectively, the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Boost provides tools for service professionals to create and manage jobs, invoices, and estimates, track customers, and accept payments. The Service includes a mobile app, a web dashboard, and a customer-facing portal for viewing and paying documents.

3. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate and current information and to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to send fraudulent invoices
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
  • Upload malicious content, viruses, or harmful code
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without our written consent

5. Payment Processing

Online payment processing is provided through Stripe. By enabling payments, you agree to Stripe’s Connected Account Agreement and Terms of Service. Boost is not responsible for Stripe’s processing, holds, or disputes.

Stripe’s standard processing fees, which are deducted from each transaction before funds are deposited, are as follows:

  • Credit and debit cards: 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction
  • ACH Direct Debit (US bank transfer): 0.8%, capped at $5.00 USD per transaction. Funds typically settle in 3–5 business days.
  • Pre-authorized debit / ACSS Debit (Canadian bank transfer): 0.75%, capped at $5.00 CAD per transaction. Funds typically settle in 3–5 business days.

Stripe fees are subject to change. Refer to stripe.com/pricing for the current rate schedule. Boost may also charge a platform fee as disclosed at the time of account setup. Bank transfer payments may be subject to disputes; you are responsible for maintaining adequate records to respond to any disputed transactions.

6. Your Content

You retain ownership of all data you enter into the Service, including customer information, invoices, estimates, job details, and photos (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited license to host, display, and transmit Your Content solely to provide the Service. We will not use Your Content for any other purpose.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, logos, and documentation, is owned by Boost and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use the Boost name, logo, or trademarks.

8. Service Availability

We strive to keep the Service available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, updates, or modifications that temporarily affect availability. We will make reasonable efforts to provide advance notice of planned downtime.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Boost shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or business opportunities arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the fees you paid to Boost in the twelve months preceding the claim.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

11. Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that we reasonably believe is harmful to other users or the Service. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

12. Changes to Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles.
